"Art to me, encompasses many things. It inspires and outrages. it causes us to feel, think, and hopefully Act. Art encompasses The whole Of humanities Experiences."
robert Pitts
From his early years at Columbia to his years working behind the scenes at such famous Chicago theatres as the Goodman and Baliwick, Robert Pitts has been described as a renassance man. He has had his canvass creations displayed during the opening of the Harold Washington Library and while painting was his first love and a natural talent, his greatest passion is film and theatre. He has had years of experience working behind the scenes at theatres in the Chicagoland area. From actors to staff, Robert is known as the consumate professional with a wide variety of training and experience.
Flexible to the demands of the times, Robert has transferred his art from canvass and paintbrush to digital and the Internet. Once again the ease of learning his craft has not faded over the years.
However he has not strayed from his passion, and has written a couple of plays over the past couple of years: Terminal Gate 12 and The Killing Floor. Terminal is now in the early stages of production and will be performed Soon. Also He is finishing up his first work of Children's Fiction based on the personalities of his children.
In his spare time, Robert also spends his time meditating, practicing martial arts daily, and enjoying his other two passions: cooking and gardening.
Robert lives on the North Side of Chicago with the three loves of his life, his wife of 13 years "who keeps me focused" and his two "battlebots", his daughter and young son.
